What forms yoga lifestyle

In my previous post on what is yoga lifestyle, I have discussed briefly as to what those eight elements are. In this post I shall share with you what I understand living a yoga lifestyle means.


I believe living a yoga lifestyle means taking care of your mind and body; being conscious about the needs and necessities of your soul. not get distracted from your goals and from the path thereto. You've got to be attentive!

Creating some rules and of course FOLLOWING THEM! Disciplining yourself to committing to them- this will take time BUT DO NOT GIVE UP; getting deep inside yourself and believe me when I say this- once you reach that level by gradually doing it everyday, it will be a wonderful experience. And you will get addicted to it. These set of rules do not necessarily have to be like waking up early everyday or following a strict diet and stuff (I'm not saying that you get up late either!!πŸ˜…πŸ˜Ž)

I have been wanting to write a second post ever since the time I posted my very first one but look- after 44 days I've been able to sit myself down and complete one more post. Even I am not still disciplined enough to write it on a regular basis. My point being I tell you about being disciplined but it takes time. It's not easy. I'm telling you it's not at all easy to get yourself to start becoming disciplined, but do not give up on yourself. You are more than you think and as Kemmy Nola says "Don't give up, the beginning is always the hardest".

So here's what I suggest you do- take a piece of paper and write down what you want to do and what you should be doing on a daily basis.

I'll give you my own example- I want to learn keyboard. So what I should be doing is sit for 15-20 minutes at least on weekends. Moreover, it will also make me feel better that I did something that I wanted to do.{Now that is again something I did try doing; did for a while and now it has again stopped}.

Another sort of "good habit" that I've been trying to inculcate is reading. And believe me- this I have taken up a lot of times but just couldn't keep up with it. so now I have come to realise that good things take time😜.

Here's another secret that people often tend to overlook- in order to do it on a regular basis one day, I will have to start not all at once, but by starting with once or twice a week and then moving my way up. So don't be hard on yourself by making yourself feel guilty that you weren't able to do it everyday once you decide to start doing it.

So this is it, according to me. It is getting yourself disciplined and committed and you've mastered the yoga lifestyle.
